Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe


Chocolate Covered Strawberries - Easy Recipe




What you will Need:

* 2 Cups (18-20) Medium to Large Strawberries
* 1/2 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips or White Vanilla Baking Chips
* 1 Teaspoon Shortening or Vegetable Oil

Directions:

1) Gentley rinse strawberries then dry on a paper towel. **The strawberries must be 
    COMPLETLEY dry**. 

2) Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.

3) Using a 1-quart saucepan, melt your chocolate chips (or white vanilla) & shortening 
    (vegetable oil) over low heat. Make sure to stir frequently. When chips are completely
    melted, remove from heat. (**NOTE- I used both chocolate & white vanilla mixes)

4) Dip the lower half of each strawberry into your chocolate (white vanilla) mixture. 
    Make sure to allow all excess mixture to drip back into the saucepan. Now place your
    dipped strawberry onto the wax paper lined cookie sheet.

5) Refrigerate uncovered for about 30 minutes (until the mixture on the strawberries is
    firm or you are ready to serve). 

6) Store any uneaten portions in the refrigerator so the chocolate does not soften.
    If made with vegetable oil, the chocolate will soften more quickly at room temperature
